i think i figured it out!   tommy’s wearing no overcoat, hat or scarf because he’s pulling a ronnie: when reagan met with gorbachev ~lake geneva, with no coat, hat, or scarf, he shook hands with a bundled-up gorby. “he appears super-human!”  ”he is immune to extreme cold!”  ”he is a superman!” “americans are very hardy!”  or, i’m full of sh!t, and tommy jus krazy. . [was gonna post a lil historical picture but my stomach rolled searching for it]
